PAINTING

BEGINNER WHEEL THROWING CLASS
      - instructor Michelle Finlayson

Classes are on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. for 9 weeks

Learn the basics of throwing mugs, bowls and other containers on the potters’ wheel. In this class you’ll learn to centre the lump of clay on the rotating wheel, and magically form it into something recognizable. You’ll make mugs, bowls and plates and you’ll learn to decorate your projects by applying slips and glazes.

September class fee:


• KACC membership - $ 60.00


• Class registration - $ 125.00


• Wheel throwing tools $ 45.00


• One bag of clay - $ 20.00 (includes all glazing and firing costs)

January class fee:


• KACC membership - $ 40.00


• Class registration - $ 125.00


• Wheel throwing tools $ 45.00


• One bag of clay - $ 20.00 (includes all glazing and firing costs)

Additional tools may be purchased separately; the club stocks a good supply. Additional clay is $20.00/bag which includes all glazing and firings costs.
