Weaving/Spinning
A separate loom room houses our 5 floor looms and 2 table looms and is accessible to our weaving group. Having a separate room to hold our looms allows us to
weave at our convenience when we have a project in progress. We have sign up sheets for the different projects on each loom. Some looms are warped with a per foot fee to cover the cost of the warp. On other looms, the weaver
will wind their own warp and "tie" on to the existing warp. The weaving projects are planned by the members and we take turns warping the looms that are then available for others to weave on.
Occasionally courses are offered if there is sufficient interest.
Kamloops Arts & Crafts Club belongs to the Associated of Northwest Weavers’ Guilds (ANWG) and to the Guild of Canadian Weavers (GCW). These guilds provide contact
between clubs and weavers with invitations to conferences and workshops as well as a video library which has a loan system for members.
